The National Hockey League’s Central Division has some interesting potential trade candidates that would intrigue New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald. While there might be eight teams in the Central Division, only seven teams made this list. The exception? The Chicago Blackhawks. The Devils do not want or need any player from the Blackhawks this summer. There is no reason for Fitzgerald to even pick up the phone unless the Blackhawks are offering a first-round pick for something.. Leading things off for the Central Division will be the Arizona Coyotes.

Arizona Coyotes: Clayton Keller

Call it a pipe dream, but this one seems possible considering the circumstances in Arizona. The Arizona Coyotes cannot offer any player any amount of stability at this point in time. However, Clayton Keller would be such a perfect pairing for the Devils. Maybe that instability will allow Fitzgerald an opportunity to get Keller at about 80-90 percent of the normal value.

The Coyotes have not been able to establish a home for their team, playing this past season as well as this upcoming season in a college rink at Arizona State University. Clayton Keller may begin to look for greener pastures, and the Coyotes will not have much leverage in this situation if it turns out that Keller wants out. A deal involving Keller to the Devils could be a match made in heaven.
