New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers, February 17th 8:00 PM (MetLife Stadium)

The National Hockey has acknowledged the rise of the New Jersey Devils by giving them a home game in the upcoming rendition of the ‘Stadium Series.’  Recently, it was announced that there will be two regular season games being played at MetLife Stadium, with the Devils and Flyers kicking things off on Saturday, February 17th, and then the Rangers and Islanders getting a Sunday Matinee the following day.

This will be the first time the Devils are partaking in the Stadium Series since 2014 when they lost to the Rangers 7-3 at Yankee Stadium. In that game, Patrik Elias registered two goals in the 1st period with the assists coming from Ryan Clowe, Marek Zidlicky, and Jaromir Jagr.

The Flyers, meanwhile, will come in with a Stadium Series record of 1-1, with both the win and loss coming against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game 1 took place in February of 2017 when the Penguins beat Philly 4-2 at Heinz Field. The Flyers got their outdoor W in February of 2019 in Lincoln Financial Field by a score of 4-3.
