Vancouver Canucks Are Giving Us Best Hughes Family Content This Offseason

The New Jersey Devils are sitting on the sidelines while the best thing on the internet is happening with their star players. The Vancouver Canucks are following the Jim Hughes camp. It sort of makes sense since Quinn Hughes is there, but the Devils are watching as a double dose of Hughes is providing content for days.

Jim Hughes is holding an NHL camp with what we will call the extended Hughes family. It’s those great players from the 2018 and 2019 US National Team Development Program. Beyond the Hughes brothers, we see Cole Caufield, who is famously a best friend of Jack Hughes.

It’s the very beginning of the content, but we’ve already seen great stuff. Luke Hughes looks absolutely dominant against top NHL competition. This isn’t just any camp with any NHLers. These are young superstars. We wouldn’t be surprised if players like Trevor Zegras or other stars from that 2019 U18 team show up.

It’s not only on-ice content we’re getting from the Hughes family. It’s the off-ice content where we expect to see real gems. These are competitive hockey players who take that adrenaline to their rec room. Ping pong and billiards might be just the start to the competitive nature of the week.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen that look in Jack Hughes’s eyes. We miss it. Now, thanks to another team, we can get it again. Of course, this will probably have a million fake Quinn Hughes trades to the Devils and Jack/Luke trades the other way.

The “episode” of this wild show is going live this Friday. It’s the doldrums of August, so we can’t wait. We hope the Devils get more involved so we see the best Hughes brothers in the content.
