4. Yanni Gourde
While his production isn't what it used to be, Yanni Gourde can still be a productive player who can certainly provide depth to this Devils team. He does a good job of driving possession as well as knowing how to be responsible on his end. He also has been known to be solid on the faceoff dot which is something the Devils need help with in their bottom six. If you can add him to your center depth along with Hischier, Hughes, and Haula, you could have your hands full against them in the playoffs.
The issue will be his cap hit which is currently at $5.16 million. It would require a big chunk of retention or perhaps a player movement the other way. That could be too much for a rental, but Gourde should still be considered for depth help.
The Devils need help with their depth and despite New Jersey being in a good spot right now, there's room for improvement to be ready for the playoffs.
