Dougie Hamilton could be a high-end Team Canada defenseman

Dougie Hamilton, although he's one of New Jersey's best players, might be the biggest long shot on this entire list. He is a wonderful NHL defenseman but Canada is so deep in that area.

They like to take guys who can defend and guys who bring offense. Well, Hamilton is an offensive guy so it just depends on if they determine he is one of the best options.

With guys like Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche, Evan Bouchard of the Edmonton Oilers, and Josh Morrisey of the Winnipeg Jets available, it will be interesting to see what direction they go.

Hamilton could absolutely be a guy that makes this team better. The problem is that Canada has a lot of guys like that. Still, Hamilton has enough of a resume that should warrant him for consideration.

All five of these guys would do a wonderful job representing the Devils in this tournament. It is also fair to be very excited for the Olympic Games in 2026 because there will be even more involvement for Devils players.
