As most of the hockey world is aware, Team USA is preparing to take on Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game. For New Jersey Devils player Jack Hughes, the storylines in the final only increased with his older brother Quinn Hughes was joining the American roster.

As Pucks and Pitchforks previously reported, Quinn was expected to join Team USA in Boston for the finals while giving the Americans their top blueliner. USA head coach himself said that the eldest Hughes brother was on his way.

Unfortunately, the Canucks appear to have put the kibosh on that. He hasn't been cleared by their team doctor, and he still needed another defenseman to get hurt for him to be eligible. Devils defenseman Brett Pesce is on his way to stand by in case the Americans need him.

We will miss the extra motivation it would have provided for Devils' superstar Jack Hughes. His on-ice performance thrives when playing with Quinn Hughes or their younger brother, Luke Hughes. This wouldn't have been the first time Jack and Quinn have been teammates on the ice.

Here's a look at the five other known times Jack and Quinn have been teammates.

1. 2024 National Hockey League All-Star Game - Fourth Team

The most recent time Jack and Quinn were teammates was in 2024 at the National Hockey League All-Star Game. It was held on Feb. 3, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, in a four-team format. Jack and Quinn Hughes actually co-captained the fourth team together. However, the brothers never actually shared the ice as Jesper Bratt replaced Jack Hughes due to injury.

Unfortunately, Jack Hughes was unable to play due to an upper-body injury, but he still participated in helping his brother Quinn in the player's draft for Team Hughes. So, these two basically owned a fantasy hockey team together.

2. 2019 World Junior Championship - Team USA

Jack and Quinn were both on the USA roster during the 2019 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. While the U.S. was the runner-up to Finland, Jack Hughes's play during this WJC helped solidify him being the No. 1 draft pick later that year by the Devils. Having Quinn there by his side throughout the international event likely only gave his brother more fuel throughout the event.
