New Jersey Devils fans have hated a ton about the last two years. They hated that Jack Hughes got injured multiple times. They hated that the goalie situation wasn’t settled despite sending a big price to the Calgary Flames for Jacob Markstrom. They hated that one of the most expensive defenses in the league wasn’t living up to its price. There was so much to hate, but at the top of the list was the fact that this team is still not near contender status.
However, most of all, Devils fans hated the Gotham Sports App. When it was announced, some were cautiously excited to have a platform to easily stream Devils games on a nightly basis. While it was very expensive, it allowed those who only wanted to watch Devils games to cut the cord.Â
Then, the app launched. The delay on the game was insane, making it impossible to even follow the game while trying to have a conversation on social media. The games were choppy, and there were moments that were missed. Sometimes, the app would freeze and we’d return to one team or another celebrating a goal.Â
The situation was frustrating. Many just called for major fixed to the Gotham Sports app, especially since the price was going up. Instead, the app is going away for good.
Yankees, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Devils, Islanders and Sabres games are going to have a new streaming home.

MSG Networks and the YES Network will move their streaming exclusively to DAZN for the 2026-27 NBA and NHL season. The exact timing hasn't been settled yet.

The New Jersey Devils will be on a new home in terms of streaming
DAZN has been trying to compete with the top sports streamers since it debuted with a new named 11 years ago. It's known for bringing sports internationally on one platform, including rights to the FIFA World Cup and other soccer leagues, X Games, BIG3 Basketball, and they already have international rights to the NHL in over 200 countries.
DAZN is a big reason why the NHL is growing the game around the world. Now, a new partnership should help the quality of games in the New York area.
Some details are still not out, including the price and if there will be a package for just Devils games. For now, we're celebrating something new after a rough two years with the Gotham Sports App.
