Tuomo Ruutuu

This is an easy one.  With only has 22 points in 129 career games as a Devil, Ruutu doesn’t bring anything unique to the table and doesn’t fit anywhere on this team. I’m not even kidding when I say this:  I forgot Ruutu was even on the team after he broke his foot and missed the majority of this season.  That’s how forgettable his time has been with the Devils since he was acquired in a trade with Carolina in 2014 at the trade deadline.

Ruutu’s NHL days may be numbered at 33 years old.  He was overpaid as it is making $4 a year thanks to the Hurricanes.  You’d think that he has no shot at staying in the league next year.  Then again, Dainus Zubrus is playing in the Stanley Cup Finals as we speak.  Anything is possible, but you won’t see Ruutu in a Devils uniform again.
