Move Him To Wing Full Time

This is the one that could happen combined with other slides on this list. Zacha’s place on the roster went up in the air after the Devils signed Brian Boyle and drafted Nico Hischier. That gave the Devils a plethora of centers on the roster. Add that to Travis Zajac, Adam Henrique and Blake Coleman, it seems like Zacha’s space as a center was in doubt.

Add to the fact that Zacha seemed to lose some confidence playing the center position, and a move to wing makes sense. There were meetings with Zacha over this past week that included his agent. There are a million reasons why they could be meeting, but one reason is talking about a full-time position change.

Zacha is a very talented forward. His mix of physicality and speed make him one of the most unique prospects in the NHL. Sure, teams would love physicality at the center position, but having someone like that on the wing gives teams a real advantage.

Zacha has already played some time on the wing. It seems like his future for this organization will continue to be on the wing.
