1. Shutout Record: 149

Over his amazing career, Brodeur shut his opponent out 149 times. We are going with combined shutouts in regular season and the playoffs. This is the record above all records for goalies. Brodeur had 125 shutouts in the regular season and 24 in the playoffs, both records by themselves.

More from Pucks and Pitchforks

This record is coming nowhere near broken. Those who are even close to Brodeur’s wins record are barely halfway to his shutout record. As it stands, the active shut out leader is Roberto Luongo. He has 76 regular season shutouts, and just five in the postseason. He’s the only player in the top ten of shutouts all time.

And don’t come here saying Brodeur was lucky to play in the era he did. Nobody else in that era even comes close. Terry Sawchuk is second on the list, and he’s 22 regular season shutouts away from Brodeur’s record. Dominik Hasek has 81 regular season shutouts, and Roy doesn’t even make the top-ten list (he had 66).

There are so many Brodeur records out there, but these are his best.
