Taylor Hall Can Play Star For New Jersey
This past season, the New Jersey Devils brought in P.K. Subban to play superstar for the New Jersey Devils. He has a very specific brand to him, and it might not run everyone the right way. One thing is certain, however, is Subban is compelling. He gets the Devils in the national lexicon, and honestly despite the rumors Hall could learn a lot from Subban.
Hall doesn’t act like a superstar except for glimpses. His social media game is good at times, but nonexistent most of the time. His best moment was literally three letters (Sup, Selena). He can come to New Jersey, score all the goals, and be the star the team needs. He can be the player everyone goes to for interviews in tough times, but he gets to stand in front of the camera in the good times.
Hall acts like he doesn’t want this, but when it’s happening he seems to like it. He wants to make the playoffs terribly, and when he did he loved everything that came with it. Just look at how he thrived when the pressure was on.
Hall can take some of the flack off of Nico Hischier and Jack Hughes once Travis Zajac leaves for retirement or whatever is next on his horizon. He can immediately slide in to the “veteran who will say the right thing” role. Then, he can work on his personality off the ice. He’s been doing more interviews, like this one with Tyler Seguin. It’s just nice to be one of the marquee players for the NHL, and while that doesn’t go hand in hand with playing for the Devils, we’ve seen Subban take the next step while he’s here and Hall can too.
