Trade Two

The New Jersey Devils would be giving up a lot to let go of two first-round picks, Janne Kuokkanen, and Jesper Bratt for Jack Eichel. The thing is, that still might not be enough. Without question, however, Eichel would be worth moving this type of capital. He is truly one of the best players in the league and every team should think about what they can do if he wanted to be done with losing in Buffalo.

It isn’t like the Devils are much better as an organization right now than the Sabres, but it certainly seems like a team that would have a better chance at winning if you inserted him. The two first-round picks are crazy, but chances are that neither player selected with those picks are ever going to be as good as Jack Eichel is or ever will be.

Janne Kuokkanen is a prospect that New Jersey acquired in the Sami Vatanen trade. He is a nice young player, but it would be easy to send him off in a deal like this. Jesper Bratt is a top-quality player that New Jersey stole in the later rounds of the draft, but letting him go in this situation is not hard. He is a fan favorite and all of that too, but for Eichel, almost anything should be on the table with this team.
