Vladislav Namestnikov

Vladislav Namestnikov is another player that’s been traded on multiple occasions despite having a lot of experience in his mid-20s. He went from the Lightning to the Rangers to the Senators to the Avalanche. He hit his stride after the Avalanche acquired him. He scored six points in nine games including four goals.

Because of the injury to Nathan MacKinnon, Namestnikov was able to play center on the top line. We don’t think he should be a top-line player, but knowing he can handle that role in a pinch helps. He’s playing center now, but we’ve also seen him play a winger role in the past.

Namestnikov needs a team to just give him a chance. He went from being traded for Ryan McDonagh and J.T. Miller to being sent off for a 4th-round pick. His value is extremely low, and the Devils could give him a shot to revitalize his career at 27 years old. Namestnikov was on his way to having a really good career, but he never hit his peak years that started his career.

This is a high-upside pick. Namestnikov’s value is at its lowest point. He’s one player that could increase his value during the playoffs. He had 17 goals this season, so he’s not flat. However, there’s a lot to be desired based on his talent. He has top-line ability, but he could be had for a middle-six price.
