Trade Two

Pavel Zacha is a decent NHL player. He deserves to be in a lineup on an NHL team but a lot of Devils fans are annoyed with him. A lot of it comes because he was the sixth overall pick in a draft that proved to be one of the best ever. They missed on that pick but if he was sent to another team where there was no pressure, he might be able to be the best player that he can be.

Winnipeg has a lot of scorers on their team so Zacha would mainly be able to focus on what makes him a good player. He could go there and use his abilities on defense and penalty killing to help them win hockey games. It might be good for both teams to move on from this relationship if it means a good player coming back to New Jersey.

Kevin Bahl is a great young prospect. He is a defensive defenseman that is coming through the ranks. He was acquired in the Taylor Hall trade with the Arizona Coyotes, but if they could eventually turn him into a scorer like Laine, that would make the Hall trade look even better. The 2nd-round pick that used to belong to the New York Islanders would also be a nice sweetener for a trade like this.
