Landing Brock Boeser could be huge for the New Jersey Devils forward group.

If the New Jersey Devils made this trade, they would be getting the best player in the deal and it isn’t really close. Vancouver would be landing some depth and a decent draft pick but the main thing is not being tied down to Boeser’s contract anymore.

This is a kid who can score a lot of goals at different points in the season. He hasn’t been as consistent as you would like to see but a change of scenery could do it for him. If he played on a line with Hughes or Hischier, his ability to snipe could be taken advantage of because of their ability to find wingers in high danger chances.

If Zacha went to the Canucks, he would help them with their penalty killer and be a much cheaper option for their bottom six. The real prize for them could end up being Miles Wood who has shown flashes of being someone who can take advantage of his incredible speed before.

The third-round pick would be hard to give up for New Jersey as they still look for more young talent but it would have to be done. Landing Boeser should really be something that they are interested in because improving the top six could go a long way.
