New Jersey Devils Hometown Remix jerseys appear to link thanks to the most unlikely source

More and more we've heard about the New Jersey Devils Hometown Remix jerseys by Fanatics, and the design was actually something fans were excited about.

The New Jersey Devils divided the fanbase when they released their first black alternate jersey in history, the Jersey jersey. Last year, the Devils said goodbye to the jersey, the first one that didn’t include the iconic interlocking NJ logo. While it seems like many fans had turned into liking the jersey, but they are wrong. (Fine, this writer still thinks that jersey is an abomination, but we suppose you can have whatever opinion you like.)

Now, the Devils are looking to release their Hometown Remix jerseys, and it turns out that they might have hit the nail on the head. The Devils got it right when they released the Stadium Series jersey in 2023-24, It was a simple style that just built the black more into the design, removed the white completely, and went from there.

It was a rousing success, and they could not keep the jerseys on the shelf. To this day, these jerseys are incredibly popular. So, what happens when you hit the nail on the head with the design? Repeat it.

Hours before the Devils were set to reveal the jersey, it got leaked. However, it wasn’t Elliotte Friedman or one of the jersey-focused social media accounts that did it. It was actually Macy’s.

We love this design. It’s simple, and that’s fine. There were rumors that the Devils red tail would wrap around the arm, but that’s fine that they removed the idea. There are always a million ideas that come out before we see the actual jersey, and this one works.

We expect the Devils to do something big for the jersey, as they announced it’s schedule last week. New Jersey will be debuting the Hometown Remix on November 18th against the Montreal Canadiens. In total, the Devils will wear the jerseys 10 times this season.

The Devils fanbase has been begging for a black jersey for years. They finally got one, and it was hated by many. Even though it was "designed by Martin Brodeur," the Jersey jersey was not it. It definitely wasn't it when they only released P.K. Subban as an option upon launch.

It's interesting that the Macy's website only has Timo Meier jerseys available (technically, they don't have anything available). We don't foresee, with Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, Arseny Gritsyuk, Luke Hughes, and newly acquired fan favorites like Connor Hellebuyck and Luke Evangelista, not being available at launch. It's going to be a money making machine.
