Once the announcement circulated that MSG Network would not be renewing Erika Wachter’s contract as host and analyst, a summer-long waiting game commenced. For months, fans anticipated the news announcing the newest television host at MSG. That wait is finally over as the New Jersey Devils have announced Rachel Herzog will be the newest television host and analyst starting this upcoming 2024-2025 season.

By the time Herzog steps into her new role, she will have come a long way. Her resume includes stellar work as the sports reporter and weekend sports anchor for WDAY-TV in the 701 in Fargo, North Dakota. Herzog also enjoyed a very busy and successful collegiate career as a student-athlete and broadcaster at Minnesota’s St. Cloud State University.

She will be joining the New Jersey Devils MSG Network team alongside returning play-by-play commentator Bill Spaulding and color commentators Ken Daneyko and Bryce Salvador. There is great excitement and anticipation for this upcoming season and we wish Herzog the best in her new role. Herzog will be yet another new face in what is shaping up to be a vastly different season all around. We, as fans, look forward to Devils game night on MSG Networks and the many contributions of everyone involved from management to coaching staff and players to media staff. The regular season is rapidly approaching! Veterans are set to report to training camp this Wednesday in preparation for the opening preseason matchup Sunday night when New Jersey faces off against the New York Islanders in Newark.
