On Monday, August 24th, the New Jersey Devils revealed the 10 designated Theme Nights and Giveaway schedule for 2026-27. Among them were some typical events and gifts for the first 9,000 fans -- light-up LED sticks on opening night, Fan Appreciation Night, Military Appreciation Night, Devils Youth Foundation Night, and Hockey Fights Cancer all rightfully make their return in the new campaign.

As has already been discussed, the most talked-about night has easily been the Thanksgiving Week Kickoff, a pre-Thanksgiving affair against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The star of the show there is undeniably the giveaway: a Devils Butter Bench for the first 9,000 fans. The excitement for the night is already well-deserved.

There are certainly a good few intriguing nights outside of just the Thanksgiving Week Kickoff, though.

Take the Devils' first-ever K-Pop night, for example. New Jersey's first Theme Night of 2026-27, which takes place on October 22nd, will feature "unique concourse activations," as well as K-Pop-themed merchandise, music, food, and beverages. Interestingly, this night seemed planned in accordance with a TAEMIN concert that takes place at the Prudential Center the next night. It's a first for New Jersey, but given the scope of the K-Pop scene as a whole, it seems unlikely to be the last instance of this event.

The Devils' next Theme Night, which will also include themed merchandise, music, food, and drink, is their third annual Devils Down the Shore night. That event, which will be on Thursday, December 17th, will revolve, unsurprisingly, around the Jersey Shore.

There are two more fascinating nights to highlight, both of which involve Giveaways. Firstly is the Youth Hockey Day, a February 20th affair, in which the first 9,000 fans will receive an Arseny Gritsyuk figurine bag tag. It's the first night that fan-favorite Gritsyuk will have a giveaway product. Next up -- just two weeks later -- is the Mascot Madness night.

On March 5th, several mascots from throughout the league will be at the Prudential Center; the first 9,000 fans will get a night light with the Devils' mascot, NJ Devil, as the centerpiece. It's a great family-focused day with a perfect nighttime gift to go with it.

All told, while the early reaction to the Devils' activity nights seems to be somewhat negative, there are most certainly still some fun themes and giveaways throughout the season that fans should be excited for.
