6. Games Played: 1,265

This one is literally a longevity award. Some people like these records, while some say that just playing in a game shouldn’t be celebrated. Well, I’m here to disagree.

Some say the best ability is availability. He’s played in 1,470 games including the playoffs, but we will focus on his regular season record. He played 1,265 games during the regular season. This is impressive. He’s only dealt with a major injury three different times over his career. Does three major injuries sound like a lot? Well, Cory Schneider has dealt with three injuries over the last two seasons.

Think about how hard it is to play as many games as Brodeur has. Roberto Luongo is 39 years old, and he just broke 1,000 games played. Brodeur has well over 200 more games played. Again, Brodeur was available on every given night, and his stamina was an underrated part of his game.
