Daniel Carr

Things get hairy quickly for the Predators when it comes to assets the Devils might want. They have a few players that they can’t afford to lose, then a lot of overpriced players on the wrong side of their prime. That leads us to look at some of their AHL talents to add to Binghamton. That’s where Daniel Carr comes in. Carr has had a really nice minor league career, with 238 games in the AHL. The Devils could use that type of veteran presence with more young talent being added to Binghamton every year.

Carr is a free agent this season after leading the Milwaukee Admirals in points. He was also really good for the Chicago Wolves last season, so his point totals aren’t just a fluke. There’s a reason why he was added to the Predators’ bubble roster.

Carr brings something to the AHL that is hard to find. He’s a player that’s willing to fight every night despite being in the minors this long. He isn’t going to retire early because he’s not in the NHL yet, and he’s going to help the Devils grow other players to be stars. He’s also good for the general callup every so often. Carr can be a really good player on multiple fronts.
